Legal information
Terms of Service
These terms govern access to the Lexara website and use of the Lexara Shopify application.
1. Provider and contact
Lexara is provided by Igor Kazazic, sole trader, of Kronetorpsgatan 68 B, 212 27 Malmö, Sweden ("Lexara", "we", "us" or "our"). You can contact us at igorkazazic1989@gmail.com.
2. Scope and acceptance
These terms apply to visitors using the Lexara website and to business customers who install or use the Lexara application for Shopify (the "Service"). The application is intended for merchants acting in the course of business. By installing, accessing or using the application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
3. The Service
Lexara provides tools intended to help Shopify merchants organise product-compliance information, including information relating to product safety (GPSR), environmental and green claims, digital product passports, packaging and producer responsibility. Depending on the plan and features available, the Service may read information from your Shopify store, analyse or organise information you provide, and write information to Shopify metafields, metaobjects or content when you instruct it to do so.
Features, plan limits and prices are described in the application and/or its Shopify App Store listing and may change as the Service develops. Any free trial or promotional offer is subject to the terms displayed when you subscribe.
4. Not legal advice; your responsibility
Lexara is an organisational and assistance tool. It does not provide legal advice, certification, a guarantee of compliance or a determination that a product may lawfully be sold. Regulatory requirements depend on the product, market, seller and facts of each case and may change.
You remain responsible for determining which rules apply to your business and products, checking the accuracy and completeness of information, reviewing AI-generated or other suggestions, and deciding what to publish, label, declare or submit to an authority or producer-responsibility scheme. You are also responsible for changes you authorise Lexara to make to your Shopify store.
5. Your account and permitted use
You must have authority to connect the Shopify store and to provide any information submitted to the Service. You are responsible for the activities of staff members you authorise and for assigning appropriate access roles. You must use the Service lawfully, keep account credentials secure, and not misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, except where applicable law does not permit such restriction.
6. Fees, billing and cancellation
Subscription fees, billing intervals, plan features and any applicable trial are shown in the application or Shopify App Store listing at the time of subscription. Shopify processes subscription billing and charges appear through Shopify. Shopify's billing terms and processes also apply.
You can manage, change or cancel the subscription through Shopify. Uninstalling the application ends the subscription according to Shopify's billing rules and triggers the data-deletion process described in the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Data Processing Agreement.
7. Data protection
When we process personal data in Shopify store information on your behalf, you generally act as the data controller and we act as the data processor. The Data Processing Agreement (DPA) describes that processing and forms part of the arrangement for use of the application. For our own account administration, billing records, support correspondence and security purposes, we act as a controller as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property and your content
We retain our rights in the Service, software, design, documentation, branding and website content. While your subscription is active, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business in accordance with these terms.
You retain your rights in the store information, documents and other content you provide. You authorise us to process that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service, in accordance with these terms and the DPA. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit and use that content.
9. Third-party services
The Service operates with Shopify and may use infrastructure and other providers described in the Privacy Policy and DPA. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for services or systems outside our reasonable control.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available and functioning, but we do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or continuous availability. We may maintain, update, modify or discontinue features for operational, security, legal or product-development reasons. Where a material change is made to these terms, the DPA or the list of subprocessors, we will provide notice in the application at least 30 days in advance where reasonably practicable.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and website are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will identify every applicable requirement, that information or generated suggestions will be complete or accurate, or that use of the Service will make a store or product compliant.
To the extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the application or these terms is limited to the subscription fees you paid for the application during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business interruption, loss of data where adequate backups were your responsibility, or fines and penalties imposed on your business. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct where applicable.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription through Shopify. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users or data, to address suspected unlawful use or a material breach, or where required by Shopify or law. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Termination does not remove obligations that by their nature continue, including payment obligations accrued before termination and provisions on intellectual property, liability and governing law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the Service, law or our operations. The effective date and version will be updated on this page. For material changes affecting existing application customers, we will provide notice in the application at least 30 days in advance where reasonably practicable.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent general courts of Sweden, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. Nothing in this clause limits mandatory rights that apply to a customer under applicable law.
